Facilities & Building Manager with Reception duties
Location: Theale, Reading
Contract: 2-week temporary contract (opportunity to go permanent)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:45am–5:00pm

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities & Building Manager with Reception duties to support the day-to-day operations of an unserviced building in Theale. You will act as the first point of contact on-site, ensuring the building runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while also providing front-of-house support.
Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties
*Welcome visitors and act as the first point of contact for the site
*Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional manner
*Manage access passes and visitor logs
*Handle general enquiries and support the wider team as needed
Facilities Management
*Report and escalate building issues, including:
*Heating, lighting, or power faults
*Malfunctioning toilets or washroom facilities
*Flooding, leaks, or ventilation problems
*Fire alarm alerts or system notifications

*Conduct routine building checks to ensure everything is operating correctly
*Take photos and produce reports for management and insurance when issues arise
*Monitor on-site safety, cleanliness, and security
*Liaise with contractors and external suppliers when required
*Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents and actions taken

*Someone reliable, proactive, and confident managing both administrative and basic facilities tasks
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Ability to remain calm and organised when dealing with unexpected maintenance issues
*Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
*Comfortable working independently in an unserviced building environment
*Previous experience in facilities, building management, or reception is highly desirable
