This role is crucial for providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth, efficient service for patients accessing healthcare. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in supporting our clinical team with a range of administrative duties:
* Greet patients and visitors professionally and warmly.
* Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.
* Handle incoming calls, emails, and appointment enquiries.
* Provide information and guidance regarding practice services.
* Support clinicians with administrative tasks as needed.
* Handle payments and issue receipts (if applicable).
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.
* Adhere to practice policies regarding data protection, safeguarding, and health & safety.
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and NHS guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (experience in a medical environment is desirable but not essential).
*Excellent communication and customer service skills.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
*Confidence using computer systems.
*Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
*Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
