Immigration Solicitor
*Annual Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
*Location: East London
*Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Immigration Solicitor to join a leading, multidisciplinary London Law Firm. This role is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a passion for UK immigration law, offering a chance to handle a varied caseload in both personal and business immigration matters. This role is 100% office based in East London.
Day-to-day of the role:
Personal Immigration
*Advise clients on various visa and immigration routes including spouse/partner visas, Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), naturalisation and British citizenship, family and private life applications, and Human Rights applications where applicable.
*Prepare and manage applications, witness statements, and supporting documentation.
*Provide clear, client-focused advice and manage client expectations throughout the process.
Business Immigration
*Advise employers on all aspects of sponsorship, including sponsor licence applications, Skilled Worker visa route, compliance, and right-to-work issues.
*Prepare legal documents, guidance notes, and support HR teams with Sponsor Management System (SMS) duties.
*Assist business clients in strategic planning for workforce mobility and compliance.
General Responsibilities
*Manage a busy and varied caseload with minimal supervision.
*Stay updated with UKVI rules, Home Office policy changes, and case law.
*Deliver exceptional client service and maintain high professional standards.
*Contribute to business development activities and support wider team initiatives.
*Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Solicitor (UK) with ideally 2–4 years’ PQE in immigration law (other levels considered if experience aligns).
*Experience in both personal and business immigration is essential.
*Strong knowledge of the Immigration Rules and Home Office guidance.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
*A client-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships.
*Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
