About This Role: A well-established SEMH primary school in Dorking is seeking an outstanding Primary Teacher to join their therapeutic team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting after February half term, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school provides specialist provision for children aged 5-11 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, using trauma-informed approaches to help every child reach their potential in a nurturing, structured environment.

What We’re Looking For:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with previous experience teaching in an SEMH, PRU, or specialist primary school environment
*Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and experience supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs
*Experience working with children with one or more of the following: *ADHD
*ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
*Anxiety disorders
*Self-harming behaviours and suicidal ideation
*Attachment difficulties
*Speech & Language difficulties
*Dyslexia or Dyspraxia

*Exceptional behaviour management and de-escalation skills with a calm, consistent, therapeutic approach
*Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse and complex learning needs
*Strong emotional resilience and ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable children
*Genuine passion for therapeutic education and championing every child’s right to succeed
*Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
*Full commitment to safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
