Job Description:
Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a North West based Housing Association in order to recruit a Financial Controller on a 3-6 month interim basis (with potential for the role to go permanent). This role offers a day rate of £400 - £500 dependant on candidates experience and hybrid working (3 days per week onsite).
Duties include:
· Manage the workload and performance of the core finance team to ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met
· Review and authorise all outgoing payments, including leases, treasury movements and supplier payment runs
· Review and approve payroll reports prepared by the payroll bureau and authorise payments to employees
· Review all balance sheet reconciliations
· Prepare and submit VAT returns, identifying any adjustments required and calculating any partial exemption VAT recovery
· Review cashflow forecasts prepared by the Treasury & Leases Accountant and ensure any required changes are processed
· Support the subsidiary finance team in delivering all required reporting to the group parent
· Work with the Management & Service Charge Accountant and Finance Director to complete consolidated financial information for the group
· Review the draft management accounts including all associated commentary and submit the final pack to the Finance Director for review
Person:
· Minimum two years’ experience managing a professional finance team at Finance Manager/Financial Controller level
· Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements
· Accounting qualification essential
