Job Description:
Role Overview:
We are working with a leading pensions organisation who are seeking a Member Services Administrator (DC focus) to join their team.
This role is responsible for delivering day-to-day administration and communications for all scheme members, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across DC member records, payroll, and statutory reporting. The role is office-based with potential hybrid flexibility depending on candidate preference.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver day-to-day administration for active, deferred, and pensioner members, including calculations and record updates. Key activities include AVCs, new joiners, opt-outs, transfers in/out (DC), retirements, deaths in service/deferment/retirement, and pensioner payroll maintenance.
*Respond to telephone, email, online, and written member enquiries, providing clear and accurate information and escalating complex cases to the Team Leader.
*Support Scheme Events such as Benefit Statement production, Pension Increases, and Trivial Commutation exercises.
*Manage auto-enrolment casework and resolve related member/business queries.
*Develop specialist knowledge in agreed areas, e.g., divorce cases, and support team training initiatives.
*Maintain compliance with legislation, HMRC guidance, and Scheme Rules, including processing HMRC returns, P60s, and individual/bulk notifications.
*Process payroll interface data, produce calculations/documents, and maintain scanning/filing systems.
*Verify documentation and calculations in line with internal, actuarial, and legal guidance.
*Maintain data quality with 100% accuracy, performing monthly data cleansing and reporting issues to payroll/HR as required.
*Support preparation and delivery of member communications, training, and presentations.
*Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by the Pensions Management Team.
Skills, Experience & Qualities Required:
*Significant experience in pensions administration, particularly DC schemes.
*Strong knowledge of pensions legislation and HMRC requirements relating to occupational pension schemes.
*Excellent numeracy, written, and verbal communication skills.
*IT literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; experience with PensionsOffice is desirable.
*Self-motivated, organised, and able to work on own initiative.
*Flexible team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Ability to analyse member data, identify inconsistencies, and propose corrective actions.
