Employee Relations AdvisorLocation - Northampton (Hybrid after training)

What you’ll be doing: No two days will look the same. You’ll be right at the heart of the business, providing practical, commercially-minded ER advice while delivering an excellent service.
Duties include:
*Advise managers on the full range of Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management
*Manage a high volume of calls (around 70–80 per day) while maintaining accuracy, empathy, and professionalism
*Coach and support managers to handle ER issues confidently and fairly
*Own your caseload from start to finish, ensuring cases are resolved efficiently and in line with policy and best practice
*Support complex ER cases and attend hearings or meetings where required
*Share ideas and contribute to improving ER processes, policies, and templates
*Get involved in HR projects and initiatives that help shape a positive workplace culture
About you You’re confident, organised, and calm under pressure. You enjoy problem-solving, working at pace, and building trusted relationships with managers. Most importantly, you care about delivering a great service and doing the right thing.
You’ll need:
*At least 2 years’ experience in an HR Advisory or ER-focused role
*A solid understanding of UK employment law
*Excellent communication and influencing skills
*Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
*A professional, level-headed approach in challenging situations
*A genuine passion for supporting people and managers
It would be great if you also have *CIPD qualification (or you’re working towards it)
*Experience in a multi-site organisation
*Mediation training or hands-on mediation experience
*Confidence using Google Workspace and CRM systems
