Business Analyst (SC Cleared) Remote
Contract Duration: 16 February 2026 - 9 September 2026
Rate: £374 per day (PAYE)
Security Clearance: Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years UK residency - SC
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major national customs platform that processes declarations for goods entering and leaving the UK through ports and airports. This platform is a core replacement for legacy customs systems, supporting the electronic completion of customs information as well as the calculation and payment of duties and taxes.
The system currently processes approximately 60 million declarations per year, with the potential for volumes to increase significantly. This role plays a critical part in ensuring scalability, accuracy, and delivery within a complex, high-impact digital environment.
Key Responsibilities * Define and deliver clear, highly testable functional and non-functional acceptance criteria
* Gather requirements and translate business needs into structured roadmaps for technical teams, including architects, developers, and testers
* Work closely with stakeholders using face-to-face and mobile communication to resolve issues quickly and effectively
* Support Agile delivery by developing feature roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable acceptance criteria
* Write high-quality user stories and establish clear paths to delivery by breaking down complex requirements
Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex digital or data-driven environments
* Strong background working within Agile methodologies
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Demonstrable ability to translate business discussions into actionable technical deliverables
* Self-motivated with a strong track record of delivery
