Job Description:
Solution Architect
eCommerce (Azure)
Peterborough - Hybrid (2-3 days a week on site)?
6 months contract. Day rate TBC
You’ll own the end-to-end architecture of a high-impact B2B2C eCommerce platform that supports customers, shaping a modern, secure and scalable Azure-based solution.?
Key responsibilities * Define and own a cloud-native eCommerce architecture, ensuring performance, scalability and resilience.?
* Lead integration of payments (BACS, Faster Payments, vouchers), third-party APIs and CRM/ERP systems.?
* Embed security and compliance (GDPR, PCI DSS, government-level standards) across the platform.?
* Act as senior technical authority for stakeholders, driving the technology roadmap and continuous improvement.?
Key skills/requirements * Robust experience in IT architecture, ideally in eCommerce.?
* Strong Azure cloud experience plus modern web tech (Blazor/.NET, React/Next.js) and API-first design (REST/GraphQL).?
* Expertise in Headless Commerce/MACH or composable architecture.?
* Desirable: Energy, charity/not-for-profit or government digital services background; high-compliance environments.?
