Job Description:
Finance Manager (6-Month FTC)
Location: London Bridge (Hybrid – Tues/Weds/Thurs in office)
Salary: c. £55,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
Start: Mid–late February 2026
Contract: 6 months initially (potential to extend, not permanent)
The Role
A growing FMCG business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join on a fixed-term basis to cover key elements of the Financial Controller role while the FC leads a system implementation project.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, supporting core finance operations rather than a highly complex or technical environment. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Accountant and wider business to ensure smooth month-end, audit, VAT, and reporting processes.
A short handover period will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
*Production of flash reporting and management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
*Audit support, including preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors
*VAT compliance (UK and Ireland), including preparation and review
*Gross profit & ad-hoc reporting / analysis (Excel-based)
*Forecasting and ad-hoc financial analysis
*Monthly FX management
*Responding to general finance and accounting queries across the business
*Supporting corporation tax processes and information preparation
*Working closely with the Assistant Accountant at month-end (no line management responsibility)
*Continuous support while the FC focuses on an ERP implementation (Microsoft 365)
Systems & Environment
*Finance system: Microsoft Navision
*Excel-driven reporting environment
*Small, collaborative head office (approx. 11 people)
Ideal Candidate Profile
*FMCG experience is essential - you won’t be shortlisted without this
*Strong background in management accounting and audit support
*Comfortable in a hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant type role
*Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE all considered
*Confident with Excel (including VLOOKUPs / similar)
*Practical, reliable, and able to hit the ground running
*Happy working in a small team without people management responsibility
