Commercial Manager
Location: Bristol (Hybrid / Remote)
Salary: Competitive + Package
We’re working with a well-established specialist contractor within the ground engineering and remediation sector who are looking to bring in an experienced Commercial Manager to support their continued growth.
This is a key hire for the business and would suit someone with a strong Quantity Surveying background who is comfortable managing contracts and taking ownership of the commercial side of projects from start to finish.
The role:
You’ll be responsible for overseeing the commercial performance across a range of projects, working closely with operational teams and senior management.
Key duties will include:
*Managing project costs, forecasts and financial reporting
*Overseeing contracts (NEC / JCT) and dealing with variations and claims
*Leading on final accounts and commercial negotiations
*Supporting tenders and pricing
*Managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
*Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
*A background in Quantity Surveying (degree or equivalent)
*Solid experience in a commercial role within construction, civils or groundworks
*Good working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
*Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
*Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on
Experience in ground engineering, remediation, piling or civil engineering would be a big advantage, but not essential.
