Cover Supervisors Needed - Burton Positions Available: Long-term, short-term, and day-to-day roles
Pay: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? Do you have experience leading classroom activities and managing groups of young people? Whether you’re an experienced educator or looking to gain valuable classroom experience, we want YOU!
The Supply Register is seeking dynamic Cover Supervisors to join our vibrant team, working across John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust schools in Burton. We welcome individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including experienced teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or anyone eager to expand their teaching skills.
Key Responsibilities: * Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and complete assigned work.
* Maintain classroom behaviour and create a positive, respectful learning environment.
* Support students with any questions or difficulties they may have while working on the lesson materials.
* Report any concerns or issues back to relevant staff, ensuring effective communication with the teaching team.
* Foster an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment for all students.
What We’re Looking For: * Experience: Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
* Enhanced DBS: Must be registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with students, staff, and colleagues.
* Behaviour Management: Confidence in managing student behaviour and keeping them engaged.
* Adaptability: Comfortable working in different classrooms and subject areas.
* Positive Attitude: A proactive approach to supporting students and helping them stay on track with their learning.
