Reed Education is currently supporting a school who need a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join their friendly primary school in the DH1 area of Durham. This is an immediate-start position working as part of an experienced cleaning team, helping maintain a safe and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
Role Responsibilities
As part of the school’s cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining a designated area of the building each day. Duties will include:
*General cleaning of classrooms, corridors and communal areas
*Emptying bins
*Vacuuming carpets and floors
*Wiping down surfaces, desks and touch points
*Dusting and maintaining cleanliness standards
*Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
What We’re Looking For
*Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (highly desirable) or the willingness to get one
*Previous professional cleaning experience
*Ability to start immediately and in close proximity of the school to ensure reliability
*Reliability, good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
