Department Overview
The Collateral and Inventory Management team is responsible for supporting secured financing activities and optimising collateral usage across the organisation. The department plays a key role in liquidity management, funding operations, equity and fixed income financing, and adapting to regulatory changes. By focusing on operational efficiency and client service excellence, the team ensures seamless execution of critical business functions.
This position sits within the Secured Financing and Triparty team, which oversees end-to-end processes related to triparty transactions and secured financing activities. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on collateral optimisation strategies, trade lifecycle management, intraday liquidity monitoring, and credit utilisation oversight.
Key responsibilities:
*Optimizing collateral allocation across regions, vendors, and business lines
*Providing operational support to trading desks focused on repo rates, credit financing, and equity financing
*Managing intraday liquidity flows and monitoring credit usage
*Building strong relationships with external vendors, including participation in industry forums and reviews of new product offerings
*Ensuring compliance with margin regulations for Initial Margin collateral delivery/receipt under UMR (Un-Cleared Margin Regulation)
*Addressing regulatory requirements and implementing robust control measures

*Proactive approach with a focus on risk management and controls
*Strong communication skills; ability to escalate issues effectively to senior stakeholders
*Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
*Client-focused attitude with excellent stakeholder management skills

*Collaborative mindset; experience working across multiple regions/divisions
Required Experience & Knowledge:
*Solid understanding of securities lending, repo markets, and post-trade processes
*Familiarity with triparty platforms and collateral optimization techniques
*Knowledge of funding operations, intraday liquidity management, and credit usage monitoring
*Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging at all levels within an organization
*Proficiency in digital tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-standard vendor platforms
