Senior Reprographics Technician / Senior Prepress Operator
Location: KT8, West Molesey | Salary: £30-35k per annum | Hours: Full-time, Flexi shifts Job Type: Permanent
Are you a prepress expert with the confidence to take the lead on complex, colour-critical, high-value print work? What You’ll Do
*Play a key role in interfacing between the Customer Service, Press and Finishing teams to ensure optimum cross flow with the Reprographics team
*Take ownership of complex, high value, and time critical jobs
*Perform advanced pre-flight checks and fix file, font, colour, and imposition issues if required before jobs go to print
*Lead colour management, produce contract proofs, and support press with troubleshooting
*Oversee accurate, efficient CTP plate production and minimal waste
*Prioritise workloads, solve production issues fast, and keep MIS data accurate
*Organise, coach and mentor junior team members and champion best practice
What You’ll Bring
*Extensive lithographic/repro pre-press experience, with a commitment to quality and high standards
*Advanced level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software
*Strong experience with Workflow/RIP and imposition systems (e.g. Prinergy, XMF, AGFA Apogee or similar)
*Proven CTP plating experience (operation and control) l identifying and resolving issues at the pre-press stage
*Calm, confident decision-maker with outstanding attention to detail and takes pride in their work
*Clear communicator who works effectively with Press, Production & Customer Services and can maintain a sense of calm
*Strong knowledge of packaging and/or commercial litho print processes.
