Job Description:
Turner – Permanent
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary: From £40,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30
Overtime: Flat rate, available
A well-established precision engineering business is looking for a Turner on a permanent basis to join their team. The role has been created due to a change in company structure and offers long-term stability in a supportive workshop environment.
Responsibilities as a Turner
*Setting and operating turning machines
*Working on prototypes and small-batch components
*Selecting tooling and understanding materials and job timings
*Producing high-spec, precision parts
The ideal candidate:
*Experience as a Turner, or a Miller looking to move into turning
*Experience with conversational or older machinery
*Strong attention to detail and quality
*Able to work independently and within a team
