We are working with a growing manufacturing-led business to recruit a Finance Manager for a pivotal, hands-on role within the organisation.
The Role
This position sits at the heart of the finance function and works closely with the Managing Director, playing a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision-making across the business, including the manufacturing sites. The Finance Manager will oversee end-to-end finance operations, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and support the continued growth of the business. The role also includes process improvement, commercial analysis, and ad-hoc project work as required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the small AP function, including processing of stock invoices
* Payment runs and bank reconciliations
* Ensuring accuracy of sales invoice postings between transactional systems and Xero
* Credit control and maintaining accounts for two legal entities
* VAT preparation and filings
* Overseeing payroll bureau outputs and HMRC reporting
* Month-end accruals, prepayments, intercompany journals, and full balance sheet reconciliations
* Stock control and working capital recommendations
* Monthly management accounts, margin analysis, profitability reviews, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Building and maintaining relationships with external accountants and banks
* Insurance renewals and project support
About You
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)
* Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach
* Strong financial and commercial acumen
* Experience with stock movements and control, and foreign currency translation
* Previous supervisory experience desirable
* Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
* Advanced Excel and Xero experience
