Job Description:
EnSmart Power is one of the UK’s largest provider of cutting-edge energy solutions, specializing in Battery Energy Storage systems ( BESS ) for both domestic and commercial use. Our expertise extends to electric vehicle (EV) solutions and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), driving innovation in sustainable energy.
Position Overview:
Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, we are looking to appoint an experienced Solar Battery Storage Electrical Engineer / Electrician to support maintenance, upgrades, and installations across a diverse portfolio of high-end residential, educational, commercial, and industrial sites throughout London and the South East.
*Skills & Knowledge & Experience
Experience in installing, testing, and commissioning domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems.
*Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
*Competent with DC and AC circuits, inverters, isolators, and fault finding.
*Familiarity with remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and apps.
*Strong understanding of H&S protocols, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
*Compliance with UK building regulations and DNO (Distribution Network Operator) requirements.
*Report faulty appliances, installations or equipment which do not meet safety regulations.
*Operate machinery and equipment safely and correctly using any safety devices and practices.
*Carry out all aspects of electrical works.
*Willingness to travel regionally (or nationally depending on the role).
*Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when require
Responsibilities
*Installation and commissioning of solar PV, battery storage (BESS), and EV charging systems
*AC and DC electrical works
*Testing, fault finding, and commissioning
*Documenting, photographing, and submitting all required installation paperwork to the office team
*Working in accordance with current wiring regulations and health and safety standards
*Liaising professionally with customers on site
Requirements
*ECS/JIB Gold Card (or equivalent) for lead electrician
*18th Edition (lead electrician)
*Experience with solar PV and EV charging preferred but not essential
*Qualifications in solar PV, battery storage (BESS), and EV charging are beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided
*Full UK driving licence
