The role
*Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
*Monitoring data quality and metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
*Identification and addressing of data management risks and gaps.
*Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank’s overall data management strategy and business objectives.
*Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data Management standard requirements.
Experience required:
*Banking industry experience, ideally within large matrixed organisations.
*Deep knowledge of data governance frameworks, data risk management and regulatory expectations such as BCBS 239.
*Previous experience in implementing and operating data governance controls.
*Previous experience implementing risk and control frameworks within the context of data and records management.
*Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business, technology and risk functions.
