You’ll be joining a large public sector organisation within health and social care, focused on improving outcomes for local communities. The team operates in a hybrid environment, offering both office and home-working flexibility. Part of a wider system committed to reducing inequalities and improving service delivery. A collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment supporting procurement and contract management.
Your new role
You’ll work as an Assistant Contract Manager, supporting a dedicated Contracts & Procurement function and helping manage a small portfolio of service contracts.The role includes both contract administration and contributing to wider procurement and commissioning activity.
*Act as first point of contact for providers and stakeholders.
*Lead or support service procurements within your contract portfolio.
*Monitor contract performance, risks, issues and financial/quality data.
*Organise and chair relevant contracting meetings.
*Maintain contract documentation, variations and registers in line with SOPs.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll bring strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, along with experience in contract or project support roles.A background in public sector or health-related environments is advantageous but not essential.
*Ability to interpret complex performance, financial and quality data.
*Experience in contract management, procurement, project delivery or similar.
*Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
*Confidence handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
