Purchasing and Logistics Manager
*Location: Office-based with free onsite parking
*Job Type: Full-time
*Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Thursday; 08:30 – 16:30 on Friday
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Manager to join a successful and growing SME. This role involves overseeing purchasing, logistics, and stock management, ensuring efficient operations within the company.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage the full purchasing cycle from raising purchase orders through to invoice approval.
*Maintain stock availability in line with quoted customer lead times.
*Monitor supplier performance, negotiate improved terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
*Oversee returns processing and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for purchasing and stock control.
*Lead regular stock checks and ensure accurate data is maintained within business systems.
*Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to support accurate forecasting and planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in purchasing, stock control, or supply chain management.
*Strong communication skills with proven negotiation abilities.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and stock management systems, with a preference for Sage. Excellent Excel skills are essential.
*Highly organised and proactive, able to support broader operational needs and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
