Property Accounts Assistant
Established Property Investment & Development Company | UK-Wide Portfolio

We are working with a well-established and growing Property Investment & Development business operating across the full spectrum of the UK property market. With a diverse national portfolio and a stable, long-standing reputation, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Property Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong property management accounts experience to take ownership of a varied and hands-on role.

As a Property Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in managing financial processes across a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities will include:
*Reviewing and processing incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct allocation to relevant accounts and cost centres
*Coding and entering invoices into the accounting system
*Updating daily banking entries into manual cashbooks and accounting software
*Preparing payment runs in line with agreed payment terms
*Liaising with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies
*Maintaining accurate supplier records and managing supplier queries
*Assisting with month-end processes, including reporting and bank reconciliations
*Supporting audits and financial reporting requirements
*Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures
In addition, you will be responsible for:
*Setting up new clients, properties, units, tenants, charges, and rent periodicities
*Updating rent reviews, lease information, and rent increases
*Managing lease assignments, tenancy terminations, and new tenancy creation
*Issuing rent demands in accordance with lease terms
*Managing block management accounts from start to finish
*General finance administration, including filing and record management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a property accounting or finance environment
*Proven experience managing property management or block management accounts
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
*Experience with a property management system
*Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
*Strong organisational and time management skills
