Job Description:
Finance Manager (Temporary - 3 Months)
Location: Wakefield
Day Rate: £180
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an academy trust in Wakefield to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a temporary basis. This is an urgent requirement, and the successful candidate will be able to start immediately.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the preparation and oversight of management accounts and key finance processes. This is a hands-on role with no staff management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an academy trust environment as well as broader Finance Manager experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and review of management accounts
* Month-end and year-end reporting
* Budget monitoring and variance analysis
* Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and trust policies
* Providing financial guidance and support to the leadership team
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
* Previous Finance Manager experience, ideally within an academy trust or similar environment
* Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, urgent environment
