We are working with a well-established international insurer with a strong UK presence, looking to recruit a Construction Underwriter to join their Birmingham team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and develop a portfolio of construction risks, working closely with brokers and clients to provide tailored, technically robust solutions.
The Role
*Underwrite and assess new and renewal construction risks
*Prepare quotations and supporting documentation for brokers and clients
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
*Liaise with internal teams, brokers, and clients to deliver efficient service
*Monitor market trends and emerging risks in the construction sector
About You
*Previous experience underwriting construction risks within a commercial insurance environment
*Strong technical knowledge of construction insurance products
*Excellent communication and relationship management skills
*Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities
*CII or equivalent qualifications desirable but not essential
