The Role
As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, and supporting junior team members. You’ll work closely with Managers and Partners, providing high-quality advice and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key responsibilities:
*Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and limited companies
*Reviewing year-end accounts, management accounts, and corporation tax computations
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing support and technical guidance
*Supervising and mentoring junior members of the accounts team
*Supporting workflow management to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
*Assisting with business development and identifying opportunities to add value for clients
About You *ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist) with solid post-qualification experience in practice
*Strong background in accounts preparation and client management
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
*Proven ability to manage deadlines, delegate effectively, and review work to a high standard
*Experience with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
