Library Assistant

*Job Type: Part-time, Temporary SATURDAY ONLY
*Salary: £13.85 per hour
We are seeking a Saturday Library Assistant for the National Library based in Euston. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in libraries, museums, or similar environments. SHIFT NOTED BELOW. This is an immediate start for an ongoing temporary booking.
1 x 9.00 to 17.00 Saturdays only
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in the management and operation of the library during assigned hours.
*Provide excellent customer service to library visitors, assisting them in locating materials and using library resources.
*Check-in and check-out library materials and assist with library membership registrations.
*Help maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the library spaces.
*Support the library team in organising and setting up for events or programs.
*Handle queries and provide information about library services and facilities.
*Potential for overtime
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience working in a library, museum, or similar cultural or educational setting.
*Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
