Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant - Schools Across Northampton Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in schools across Northampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help children access education in a way that meets their individual needs, working closely with teachers and SENCOs to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Schools across Northampton require support for pupils with a variety of needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Severe and Moderate Learning Difficulties (SLD/MLD)
* ADHD and Behavioural Support Needs
* Physical Disabilities and Medical Needs
* Speech, Language and Communication Needs
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)
You do not need previous experience in a school setting to apply. We welcome applicants with experience supporting individuals with SEN in care homes, support work roles, youth work, or community settings. If you are patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children, we want to hear from you.
Your role may involve providing 1:1 classroom support, assisting with tailored learning activities, helping pupils regulate emotions, and supporting their independence and confidence.
