Job Description:
Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: M11 - Manchester
Pay Rates: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Immediate Start)
About the Level 3 Teaching Assistant role:
* Provide daily support to pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
* Lead small group and one-to-one intervention sessions to target key areas of learning and behaviour.
* Step in to lead the class when required, following plans and maintaining routines.
* Encourage positive relationships, emotional regulation, and resilience among pupils.
* Implement behaviour support strategies with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
* Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track pupil progress and adapt support strategies.
The ideal Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have a strong understanding of the barriers faced by children with complex needs and will be committed to helping each child thrive through encouragement, consistency, and creativity.
Requirements for the Level 3 Teaching Assistant:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
* Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, trauma, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
* Confident in leading small groups and stepping up to lead classes when required.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Positive attitude, resilience, and a passion for inclusive education.
* Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training (advantageous).
