SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Canterbury, Kent
£440 - £550 Per Week
Academics is currently seeking a dedicated Sen Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student in a home setting in the Canterbury area.
This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs, offering personalised academic and emotional support outside of a school environment.
The Role As a sen teaching assistant, you will:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the student’s individual learning needs

* Support engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation

* Follow guidance from education professionals and EHCP targets

* Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment

* Work closely with Academics to ensure consistent support

Requirements The successful sen teaching assistant will:
* Have experience working with SEN students (essential)

* Be confident using assistive technology to support learning and engagement

* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability

* Be comfortable supporting learning in a home-based setting

* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

* Be able to travel to Canterbury
