Job Description:
Job Title: Motor Vehicle Tutor (Light Vehicles) Location: North London
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year
Key Responsibilities * Deliver practical and classroom-based teaching and assessment
* Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and learning materials
* Set and mark assignments and provide learner feedback
* Assess learner progress against curriculum/apprenticeship standards
* Act as a personal tutor and provide pastoral support
* Maintain attendance records, registers and learner documentation
* Maintain course files and programme paperwork
* Support college marketing/events activity when required
* Follow safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies
Essential Requirements * Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Technology (or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years’ industry experience working on light vehicles
* Strong knowledge of diagnostics and repairs (powertrain, chassis, electrical, drivetrain, auxiliary systems)
* Confident using diagnostic equipment (scanners, oscilloscopes, air con equipment)
* IT competent (Microsoft Office)
* Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to work towards)
* Willingness to work towards a recognised FE teaching qualification
