Job Description:
Equifind are partnering with a leading foundation seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fix-term contract. Working within a highly collaborative finance function, you will prepare, analyse and interpret financial statements and performance information to support informed decision-making across the organisation.
You will also take ownership of financial controls, statutory reporting, accounting adjustments and treasury-related activities, ensuring compliance with policies and delivering high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities
*Overseeing key elements of the month-end process, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations, adjustments and supporting schedules.
*Maintaining strong financial records and ensuring transactions are recorded in line with internal policies.
*Assisting with the preparation of statutory filings, annual disclosures and reports for subsidiary entities.
*Supporting the development of improved accounting procedures and documentation, contributing to ongoing process enhancements.
*Preparing guidance materials and helping upskill finance colleagues on new accounting approaches and policies.
*Taking responsibility for day-to-day treasury duties, including cashflow monitoring, short-term forecasting, payment reviews and deposit administration.
*Upholding a strong control framework and contributing positively to an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
What we’re looking for:
*Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
*Background in accounting or audit with exposure to financial control environments.
*Experience working with investment-related, charitable or grant-funded financial activity.
*Strong analytical ability, including reviewing data, reconciling balances and identifying issues.
*Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes or systems.
