Job Description:
My client a premium, members-only travel service that provides exclusive, negotiated rates, elevated perks, and curated luxury stays around the world are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly team.
*Salary: up to 45K
*Hybrid working on offer along with additional benefits such as study support and great deal of career progression.
You will be working very closely with the Head of Finance to implement new procedures, strengthen financial controls, and help establish scalable systems.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
*Handling international and multi-currency payments, maintaining clean reconciliation across all balances.
*Preparing quarterly tax submissions with accuracy and confidence.
*Processing supplier invoices and outgoing payments, supporting an efficient payment cycle.
*Assisting with management reporting by compiling figures, summaries, and data for budgeting and forecasting.
*Reconciling bank activity and supporting the maintenance of a clear, reliable cash position.
*Working with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, queries, and irregularities in financial information.
*Providing guidance to consultants on earnings-related queries and tax calculations.
*Overseeing the monthly pay run, ensuring payroll data is correct and delivered on schedule.
*Supporting sector-specific reporting by preparing accurate financial information for regulatory submissions.
*Using finance systems and digital tools to update ledgers, maintain organised records, and support efficient workflows.
You’ll be a proactive, detail-focused individual with strong systems capability, an engaging communication style, and a genuine desire to shape and add value to a growing finance team.
Essential:
*Must have previous experience within the travel industry (tour operator, travel agent, airline, DMC, or hospitality-related travel service).
*Experience working with commissions.
*A minimum of two years’ experience as an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper.
