Warehouse Assistant Manager
*Hourly Rate: £14.50, rising to £15.00 after 6 weeks (Starting salary equivalent of £35,815)
*Working Hours: Rotation between 6am-4pm and 7:30am-5:30pm
*Must be a Car Driver with Access to Own Vehicle
*Location: RM14
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Paid on an Hourly Rate Basis
We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our client’s warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of their warehouse activities, supervising the team, and stepping in for the Manager as needed. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Supervise the warehouse team and oversee the completion of daily tasks.
*Unload and load vans and lorries, ensuring goods are accurately placed and located within the warehouse using our stock management system.
*Maintain clear and effective communication with clients through email or phone.
*Perform various office tasks as required.
*Responsible for opening and closing the warehouse depending on shift timings.
*Act as the point of contact and cover for the Manager in their absence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in warehouse management or a supervisory role.
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
*Proficient in using stock management systems.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
*Experience in client liaison and office administration.
*Flexibility to work different shifts and extend hours when necessary.
