1st–3rd Line Support • Projects • Onsite Technical Lead
City-Based Role
A respected, niche medium-sized law firm in the City of London is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join their close-knit internal technology team. Working onsite as one of two engineers, you’ll take a senior role delivering everything from hands-on 1st line fixes to complex 3rd line troubleshooting and firm-wide IT projects.

The Role
You’ll be the senior technical presence onsite, supporting users across the firm’s London office and remote workforce. The work is varied and hands-on: escalations, systems administration, project delivery, and day-to-day support that keeps the firm running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver 1st–3rd line support across desktops, applications, mobile devices, and core infrastructure
• Act as the senior escalation point within a two-person IT team
• Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, and legal-sector applications
• Lead and contribute to IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and system improvements
• Ensure high-quality service delivery to partners, fee-earners, and business services teams
• Maintain documentation, security standards, and best practice across the environment
• Work closely with external vendors and service providers where required
What You’ll Bring
• Strong experience in a senior IT support role, ideally within professional services
• Confident handling 3rd line issues across Microsoft 365, AD, Windows Server, networking, and security
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• A calm, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
• Experience supporting legal applications (e.g., case management, DMS) is beneficial but not essential
