Warehouse Operative
*Hourly Rate: £13.50, rising to £14.00 after 6 weeks (Equivalent to £33,345 starting salary)
*Location: RM14
*Working hours: 7:30 - 5:30
*Must be a car driver and have access to own vehicle
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent but paid on an hourly rate basis
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our client’s team. This role involves a range of tasks including loading and unloading vans and lorries, managing inventory, and maintaining general yard cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be hardworking and committed to maintaining efficient operations in our fast-paced warehouse environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Unload and load vans and lorries as part of daily operations.
*Place and locate pallets and cartons in the warehouse using our stock management system.
*Engage in handballing activities to move stock manually as required.
*Manage recycling processes to ensure environmental compliance.
*Maintain general cleanliness and order in the yard and warehouse areas to uphold safety and operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
*Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
*Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
*Familiarity with stock management systems.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Commitment to safety standards and cleanliness.
