Responsibilities of a Sous chef
*Assist the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth, efficient service
*Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to high standards
*Support menu planning, stock control, and ordering
*Lead and motivate the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence
*Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
*Help deliver special functions and school events when required
About you
*Proven experience as a Sous Chef
*Background in volume catering, banqueting, education, or contract cateringpreferred
*Passion for fresh, healthy, and balanced cooking
*Excellent organisation and leadership skills
*Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety practices
*A positive attitude and team-focused mindset
