Konker is on the lookout for a Senior Architectural Technician to join a collaborative practice that brings a broad range of experience delivering projects across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects across a wide range of RIBA stages. As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will play a key role across all stages of design and project delivery in the education and commercial sectors.

You will be responsible for leading project teams, producing high quality technical information and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. You will also be required to work independently when needed.

The role also involves site inspections and technical support to ensure the delivery of construction projects complies with relevant policies and agreed targets.

The role: Senior Architectural Technician
*Act as project lead when required
*Liaise with and coordinate other professional teams across RIBA Stages
*Develop designs and produce high quality technical drawings, specifications and construction information
*Work independently on assigned projects and provide supervision and management to team members working under your direction
*Review the design and technical stages of projects within the design team
*Regularly travel to client and consultant offices to support the growth of the organisation
About you:
*Experience working on educational projects
*Proven experience leading and delivering projects from concept through to completion
*Advanced use of Revit (essential) and strong capability in Autodesk 2D drafting
*Excellent specification writing skills, ideally using NBS Chorus
*In depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act, UK Building Regulations and construction methods
*Ability to demonstrate strong design, technical and construction knowledge, bringing excellent technical detailing skills
