Job Description:
A well-established family law firm in Blackburn, holding both Resolution and Lexcel accreditation, is expanding its Family Department and seeking a Family Law Solicitor to join their team.
The Role
This full-time position involves managing both privately and publicly funded cases. You will handle a varied caseload, provide high-quality client care, and take matters from instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where required.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce and finances
*Advise clients on funding options and assess financial eligibility
*Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, and third parties
*Represent clients in court and conduct advocacy where needed
*Provide compassionate, clear advice to often vulnerable clients
*Ensure compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards
Requirements
*Minimum 1 year PQE
*Strong knowledge of family law, particularly divorce and financial matters
*Excellent communication and client care skills
*Confident working independently and using initiative
*Experience dealing with sensitive or vulnerable clients
*Strong time and case management skills
