A well-established high-precision manufacturing group is looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to join its Glasgow site. This role supports engineering and manufacturing operations by turning complex MRP/ERP data into clear insights and Power BI reporting that drive better business decisions.
You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Operations, improving performance visibility and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities*Analyse MRP/ERP data (materials, production, inventory, demand, capacity, lead times)
*Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
*Produce clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
*Support root cause analysis for stock, planning and production issues
*Build and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned to business KPIs
*Develop automated, self-service reporting solutions
*Ensure data accuracy, consistency and strong data governance
*Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges and deliver effective reporting
Skills & ExperienceEssential
*Data Analyst/BI experience in manufacturing or engineering
*Strong MRP/ERP data knowledge (BOMs, inventory, production orders)
*Advanced Power BI and data modelling
*Strong SQL skills
*Excellent communication and analytical skills
Desirable
*Discrete manufacturing experience
*Supply chain and production planning knowledge
*Continuous improvement/lean exposure
