CAD Technician (Highway Design)
£30,000 - £35,000
Birmingham, West Midlands
We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Birmingham who are looking to recruit a CAD Technician focused on Highway Design, to support the deliver of highway and transport infrastructure projects across both the public and private sectors.
The Role
*Assisting in the design and delivery of highway schemes to local and national standards
*Producing drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation
*Supporting senior engineers with project delivery, including programme and financial reporting
*Preparing reports, schedules and cost estimates
*Working collaboratively with internal teams, clients and external stakeholders
*Managing assigned tasks to agreed budgets and deadlines
About You
*Previous experience in a highway or transport engineering environment
*Strong working knowledge of CAD software
*Familiarity with UK highway standards and design processes
*Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple tasks
*A team player with good communication skills
