SATs Booster Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Waltham Forest, London
Full/Part-time: Full-time
Salary: £104 - £115 per day (depending on experience)
About the role/school Teach Plus are currently working with a friendly and supportive 3-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest who are looking for a dedicated SATs Booster Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident delivering targeted interventions and booster sessions, supporting pupils to make strong progress in the lead-up to SATs.
The school is well-resourced, has a strong team culture, and offers a welcoming environment where staff are supported by an approachable leadership team. The successful candidate will be joining a school that has high expectations, values inclusion, and is committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
Job Responsibilities In this SATs Booster Teaching Assistant role, you will be expected to:
* Deliver small group booster sessions focused on SATs preparation (primarily Maths and English)
* Support pupils with targeted interventions in reading, writing, SPaG, and arithmetic
* Work closely with the class teacher to identify gaps in learning and track progress
* Provide 1:1 support where required, adapting work to meet individual needs
* Help build pupil confidence and improve exam technique through structured practice
* Support classroom learning when not delivering interventions
* Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
Qualifications/Experience * Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils (ideally Year 6)
* Confident delivering interventions and SATs-focused booster sessions
* Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly English and Maths
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or EAL is desirable
* Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
* Right to work in the UK
