Looking for a fresh challenge where your audit expertise is genuinely valued, your ideas are heard, and your work-life balance is respected? This Audit Senior role puts you at the heart of a thriving, growing office with a reputation for collaboration, openness, and a strong social scene. If you want to work somewhere that’s progressive without the corporate nonsense, and where your professional growth is matched by a great team culture, this could be your next move.
Reporting to the Audit Director, you will be responsible for:
*Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with UK accounting and auditing standards
*Setting budgets, monitoring progress, and reporting results to management, including communicating overruns or additional services
*Supervising, supporting, and training junior team members, providing timely feedback and guidance
*Reviewing financial statements and assessing internal controls to ensure audit quality and accuracy
*Managing your own and your team’s flexible working patterns to meet client needs and business deadlines
*Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value
*Escalating complex technical queries when needed and taking pride in delivering a thorough, high-quality service
What you will need:
*Previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice, ideally with a diverse client portfolio (Audit Senior, Audit & Accounts Senior, Audit Supervisor, or similar)
*Newly qualified, finalist, or experienced part-qualified (qualification status is flexible)
*Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
*Ability to handle challenging client feedback and adapt to changing priorities
*A commitment to supporting and developing others within the team
What you will get:
*£50,000–£55,000 base salary
*Hybrid working (60% in office or on client site)
*Study support if required
*Parking and excellent transport links
*Access to great facilities, including a sports shed and social events
*A genuinely friendly, low-ego team culture that values respect and openness
*Other perks and benefits to support your wellbeing and professional growth
