Job Description:
Are you looking for a new Buyer role in the Droitwich area?
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a successful manufacturing company. The role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials from UK and international suppliers.
Main responsibilities include:
*Acting as a key contact in the Purchasing team, buying items ranging from small components to castings and raw materials
*Working from technical drawings
*Sourcing and developing new suppliers
*Identifying and reporting cost savings
*Managing lead times and updating the ERP system
*Managing the MRP system
*Working closely with the shopfloor manager and technical team when required
*Providing cover for other Purchasing team members during holidays
The ideal candidate will:
*Have previous purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment
*Be able to work from technical drawings
*Be confident buying a wide range of materials and components
*Have strong communication skills
*Be computer literate with good attention to detail
*Hold a CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential)
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:15am – 4:45pm
Friday: 8:15am – 3:30pm
Salary:
Negotiable depending on experience
