Job Description:
*Supervise the daily workload of the accounts team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
*Oversee the processing and payment of UK and overseas supplier invoices.
*Ensure entries are posted correctly into the accounting system.
*Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled daily and company credit cards are reconciled monthly.
*Ensure our Invoice Financing and Loan accounts balance at all times.
*Review and maintain correct use of general ledger codes.
*Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end and year-end processes in conjunction with the Accounts Manager and Finance Director.
*Liaise with external auditors as required.
*Assist the Finance Manager with payroll and HR administration tasks, and fully cover payroll processing when needed (full training provided).
*Provide cover for the Finance Manager during periods of absence, including overseeing departmental operations and team supervision.
*Undertake any other accounts or finance-related duties as required.
About You:
*AAT qualified or part-qualified (Level 3 or above) - or equivalent.
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
*Confident in maintaining accounts to trial balance standard.
*Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and supporting year-end processes is desirable.
*Strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
*Experience of supervising or supporting team members is desirable.
*Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar an advantage).
*Professional, proactive, and able to work to deadlines within a busy finance environment.
*Willingness to learn and cover as required.
Hours and Benefits: 8am to 4.30pm
