Accounts Administrator/ Sales ledger clerk - £28,000p/a - £35,000p/a
Potters Bar
Our client is a family run business based in Potters Bar who are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their busy team on a permanent basis.
The role is full time based in the office working 8am - 5pm.
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations. Your main focus will be raising high volume invoices, managing billings, and supporting day-to-day finance tasks to help keep our accounts accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
*Raise and process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
*Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
*Enter and maintain financial data in accounting system
*Assist with supplier invoice processing and payment run
*Support the finance team with month-end tasks and reporting
*Handle queries from clients and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner
*General administrative duties to support the accounts function
What We’re Looking For:
*Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role (property or maintenance industry experience is a bonus)
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Good working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills
*A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
