SEN Teaching Assistants (SENTAs) Needed – St Helens Location: St Helens
Positions: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term & Short-term
Start Dates: Immediate and upcoming
Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? We’re recruiting committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants (SENTAs) to work across a variety of welcoming schools in St Helens.
Your Role Will Include:*Providing dedicated 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with additional needs
*Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
*Helping implement EHCPs and personalised support strategies
*Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
*Using positive behaviour strategies to create a safe and inclusive environment
*Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
We’re Looking For Candidates Who:*Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, etc.)
*Are patient, understanding, and able to build strong relationships
*Can adapt support and communication styles to meet individual needs
*Bring a calm, proactive, and nurturing approach
*Hold relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness, SEN qualifications) – desirable but not essential
