Job Description:
Our client, a thriving consultancy based in Derby are looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to join our team, supporting SME clients, predominantly within the construction industry.
Construction and CDM knowledge/experience highly desirable.
Starting salary £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities of Health & Safety Consultant to include:*Complete construction site inspections and audits
*Ensure practical compliance with CDM 2015
*Review H&S documentation, including Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and RAMS
*Help clients understand and meet their duties as Client / Principal Contractor / Contractor
*Provide practical advice on controlling common construction risks to include working at height, lifting, excavations/temporary works, plant/traffic management, COSHH, electrical safety and public interface
*Conduct incident/near-miss investigations, corrective actions, learning, and RIDDOR guidance
*Produce concise, high-quality H&S documentation
The ideal candidate will have:*Full UK driving licence
*Experience in construcion encironment with knowledge of CDM regulations (desirable)
*Strong IT skills
*Excellent communication skills
*Good problem solver
*Ability to manage own diary and work using own initiative
*Good attention to detail
*NEBOSH General Certificate (or quivelant) is essential
*NEBOSH Diploma (or equivelant) desirable
*NEBOSH Construction (desirable)
*CSCS card (desirable)
