Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on the development and management of project budgets, including:
* Procurement strategies
* Development appraisals
* Cashflow forecasting
* Site option appraisals
* Preparation of tender documentation and bills of quantities
* Tender analysis and recommendations
* Advise on cost management requirements for supplier contracts, including contract types, variations, insurances, collateral warranties, and novation agreements.
* Monitor, evaluate, and control project expenditure and cost forecasts to ensure financial compliance and value for money.
* Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities by analysing projects, services, and systems to optimise efficiency while maintaining key outputs.
* Act as the key Strategy & Development interface with Chief Financial Officer and Finance team, producing regular cost and cashflow reports, including out-turn cost reporting using Sage Intacct.
* Support the assessment and valuation of claims.
* Assist in the preparation and agreement of final project accounts.
* Coach, train, and advise project leads on effective cost and value management practices.
* Contribute to project and programme risk management, identifying and mitigating cost-related risks.
