Contract Project Manager - MiFID II Remediation
London (Hybrid)
We are supporting a large financial services organisation on a MiFID II remediation programme and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join an established regulatory change team.
This role will sit within a wider Programme Execution & Transformation function, focusing on the delivery of regulatory remediation initiatives, ensuring robust governance, controls, and delivery discipline through to BAU transition.
Key Details * Contract: Initial 6 months (strong extension potential)
* Rate: £500-£575/day (Inside IR35, Umbrella)
* Location: London
* Hybrid: 3 days per week on-site
Key Responsibilities * Lead delivery of a MiFID II remediation workstream, ensuring regulatory obligations are met in full
* Own end-to-end project delivery across planning, execution, governance, and handover to BAU
* Establish and maintain clear delivery plans, RAID logs, milestones, and reporting packs
* Work closely with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders
* Ensure appropriate controls, documentation, and audit-ready artefacts are in place
* Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams within a wider regulatory programme
* Provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders and programme leadership
Required Experience * Proven experience delivering MiFID II programmes, ideally within remediation or regulatory change
* Strong background in Project or Programme Management within financial services
* Experience working within Tier-1 Investment Banks and/or top-tier consulting firms
* Comfortable operating in highly regulated, governance-heavy environments
* Strong stakeholder management skills across business, technology, and control functions
Desirable * Experience within Markets, Trading, or Regulatory Controls environments
* Familiarity with operating under regulatory scrutiny and tight delivery deadlines
* Ability to transition delivery into BAU effectively
