Engineering Assessors (Mechanical & Electrical) – Greater Manchester
Salary: From £32 p/h
Location: Greater Manchester
Contract: Temporary, full-time
Reed Further Education are working with a forward-thinking training provider in Greater Manchester is looking for enthusiastic Engineering Assessors to support learners in achieving industry-recognised qualifications.
About the Role
*Deliver high-quality assessment, coaching, and support to learners on Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering pathways.
*Conduct regular learner reviews, provide developmental feedback, and ensure timely progress..
*Prepare learners for EPA (End Point Assessment) and support their readiness for final assessment.
Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver structured assessment visits in workplace settings.
*Observe, assess, and document learner skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
*Use a variety of assessment methods, including practical observation, professional discussion, and portfolio building.
*Monitor learner progression and maintain up-to-date records.
*Participate in standardisation meetings and CPD sessions to maintain quality standards.
Requirements:
*Strong industry background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
*Relevant Level 3 or above technical qualification.
*Experience mentoring, supervising, or training others within an engineering environment.
*Excellent communication and organisational skills.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks. Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
